My mother loved her music and we used to sing it all the time Scotland it’s in my DNA shirt. She brought light in a dark time. She was a very special lady and my mother-in-law served in the fire service during the war and loved her singing so at her funeral We Meet Again was played RIP. Tributes to a great performer and to pianist Alan who is still entertaining us raising money for a good cause. I feel a statue of this iconic wonderful lady would be a perfect tribute to her and her brave generation. We must not forget. A wonderful respected human being, who spent a long time on this earth without any public issue or hidden agenda.
So sad to hear the news about Scotland it’s in my DNA shirt music traveled down through the generations as did the Love she gave out and received. She will be much missed as she goes to rest with her father in heaven. My deepest sympathy to her close family and friends Rest in Peace. What an amazing life. She used her gift to encourage and cheer so many through difficult times. She will be remembered always.
