Of course they are. This is such a weird headline My heart belongs to my electrician shirt. That’s exactly what you’d expect to happen isn’t it. It’s not about eliminating all infections it’s keeping them at an acceptable limit. There is no vaccine, there is no unlimited money to keep everything closed until we find one, there is no way of making everyone stay indoors for 6 weeks plus to eliminate the virus due to the need for key and essential workers. How would you suggest we go about this. This virus isn’t going to go away, all we can do is try and keep the most vulnerable shielded and slow down the rate of infection so the health service isn’t overwhelmed.
It’s never gonna be completed eradicated My heart belongs to my electrician shirt. People are gonna die, it’s inevitable. It’s all about keeping it at a manageable level to give the hospitals the best chance to help people. These aren’t deaths they are infections. It is impossible for any country of any size especially one with 9 land borders as Germany has to eliminate all infections. That ship has sailed. We can shield the vulnerable but we can’t prevent all infections or even all deaths we can only try and minimise them.
